As we all look forward to the cooler temps of fall and all things pumpkin, we're rounding up some fall festivals to attend around the greater Houston area.
Get ready for the Insta-worthy pumpkin patches, corn mazes, sunflower picking and more.
Blessington Farms Sunflower Festival – Wallis
September 9 – 10 & 16 – 17
Experience Blessington Farm’s first-ever Sunflower Festival. The farm features a beautiful field of sunflowers and offers guests the opportunity to take photos and pick their very own flowers for $1 a stem. With admission to the festival, guests also have access to Farm Funland, a large playpark with various kid-friendly activities including, camel feeding, fishing, gemstone mining, duck races, barrel train rides and more.
Dewberry Farm Fall Festival – Brookshire
September 16 – November 12
From Instagram-worthy pumpkin patches and photo ops to an interactive petting zoo filled with the most adorable farm animals, this festival has it all for the perfect family funday. Additionally, the festival offers over 40 rides and attractions, including a Ferris wheel, train rides, pumpkin painting and more. Visitors can also stay after dark for “Booriffic Nights,” a thrilling experience featuring a haunted corn maze.
Froberg’s Farm Fall Festival – Alvin
September 23 – November 5
Froberg’s Farm, Brazoria County’s very own hidden gem, offers the perfect small-town fall experience that will make you feel like you’re in Stars Hallow. Guests can make their way through the corn maze, pick flowers from the flower garden and pick out a pumpkin from the patch. The farm also offers a many kid-friendly activities including, a playground, a jumping pillow, hayrides and more.
Houston Zoo Boo
September 29 – October 31
Get into the spooky spirit by strolling through a pumpkin lantern tunnel surrounded by the lions and tigers exhibits at the Houston Zoo. Guests can expect many cute photo ops, including a giant HalloweenTown-like pumpkin and a beautiful pumpkin arch, so make sure to show up in costume. The festival also features a Scary-Go-Round and after-hour nights where guests can experience the new Spooky Forest attraction.
P-6 Farms Fall Festival – Montgomery
September 30 – November 5
Offering the most picturesque landscapes, stunning flower fields and mouth-watering foods and desserts, this annual festival is one you don’t want to miss. Guests can expect a life-sized pumpkin house, a Ferris wheel, rollercoaster rides, a corn maze, a funhouse and the cutest photo ops.
Texas Renaissance Festival – Todd Mission
October 7 – November 26
This iconic festival allows guests to journey back in time to the Renaissance era. Enjoy a thrilling jousting match between knights, fall under the spell of the faery court and indulge in delicious foods. As one of the largest festivals in the Houston-area, this festival also offers many kid-friendly activities including, magic shows, carnival rides and more. Don't forget your costumes!
Rice Harvest Festival – Katy
October 13 – 15
Located in Historic Downtown Katy, the annual Rice Harvest Festival ensures a fun-filled weekend for all ages. The festival will offer live music, carnival games, food trucks and a unique shopping experience featuring local craft vendors.
ArBOOretum – Memorial Park
October 14
Grab your costumes and gather the kids for a full day of fun fall festivities at the Houston Arboretum. Families can expect live animals, pumpkin decorating, and Houston’s only Trick-or-Treat Nature Trail.
Bayou City Art Festival – Downtown
October 14 – 15
Showcasing the works of 300 artists across 19 different categories, this annual Houston staple is the perfect excursion for art lovers. Michelle McDowell Smith, a painter and a media collage artist based in Roanoke, Virginia, will be this year’s featured artist. In addition to the beautiful artwork, the festival also offers live entertainment, a craft beer garden, a food truck park and more.
Honeyland – Sugar Land
November 11 & 12
Bringing together some of the best local restauranteurs, beverage makers and artists, the inaugural Honeyland festival celebrates Black culture. This highly anticipated festival features a must-see lineup with Houston native Tobe Nwigwe, headliner Mary J. Blige, Chloe Bailey, Paul Wall and more.
