Partnership Statement on Selection of Ric Campo as Chair of Port Commission

Statement by Bob Harvey, President & CEO, Greater Houston Partnership, on the selection of Partnership Board Member Ric Campo as chair of the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority:

“The Port of Houston is key to Houston’s standing as a great global city and North American logistics hub. With growing global energy demand driving increased bulk shipments from the port along with heavier container traffic passing in and out of the region, we must ensure our infrastructure keeps pace with that growth.”

“We think Ric is in a perfect position to lead the port commission at this critical time. He will be an outstanding advocate for the port, the workers, and neighboring communities that make it a key economic engine of our region.”
