Additionally, increased awareness and reduced stigma encourage more people to seek diagnosis and treatment.  A new approach to treating mental illness is the Care Continuum. The continuum of mental health care is essential because it provides a framework for comprehensive support, ensuring that individuals receive appropriate care at every stage of their mental health journey. It helps recognize the diverse needs of patients, from prevention and early intervention to crisis management and long-term recovery. As a community there is a need for improved mental health policies, workplace initiatives focused on mental wellness, and ongoing education to reduce stigma.  Speakers Include:  Renae Vania Tomczak, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mental Health America of Greater Houston Dr. John Vincent, Professor and Director of the Center for Forensic Psychology Co-Director of the Center for Couples Therapy, University of Houston Moderator:  Stephen Reynolds, Director, Public Policy, Greater Houston Partnership Forums are hosted the first Tuesday of each month and bring members together to get a pulse on the industries and initiatives shaping Houston as a great global city.
