The Greater Houston Partnership serves as Houston's front door, providing opportunities for businesses and organizations to expand their professional networks and participate in impactful work that aims to position the region as the best place to live, work and build businesses. Comprised of more than 950 companies and organizations, the Partnership's membership is dedicated to the region's success and includes, global energy leader, Chevron.
As a longstanding member of the Partnership, Chevron has actively engaged in the organization's extensive offerings and events. Most recently, Chevron plays a critical role with the Partnership's initiative, Houston Energy Transition Initiative (HETI), a coalition focused on leveraging Houston's industry leadership to accelerate global solutions for an energy-abundant, low carbon future.
"Chevron is proud to be a founding member of HETI, enabling our participation in the critical conversation around delivering affordable, reliable and even cleaner energy," said Bruce Niemeyer, Chevron President of Americas Exploration and Production. "This is global conversation, and the reason Chevron has been the presenting sponsor of the Future of Global Energy Conference for three years running. This conference highlights Houston's role in global energy by convening Partnership members, industry and academic leaders for a robust discussion on the state of the energy industry."
In just the last few years, Houston has seen a four-fold increase in new energy venture capital investment.
By the numbers:
While HETI plays a vital role in Chevron's membership with the Partnership, the energy giant continues to find value in the Partnership's business resource groups and committees.
"Our employees directly benefit from all the Partnership does by being active on various committees and working groups to advance the needs of businesses in Houston," said Niemeyer. "Joining the Partnership is an investment in your company's future and in the future for the Greater Houston area. To be a part of the conversation, this is the place to be."
